The drama at Stagecoach spilled off the dusty festival grounds and onto social media this week, leaving one reality TV rancher fuming—and then apologizing. Steven McBee, the no-nonsense star of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys, publicly called out his girlfriend, influencer Allison Eklund, for what he deemed wildly inappropriate behavior at the country music bash.

McBee claimed he received a direct message from a festival-goer who spotted Eklund getting cozy with another man. The message alleged she was “seemingly really close” with a guy, dancing and holding hands in a way that was far from respectful. That set off the rancher, who didn’t hold back in his own posts, accusing Eklund of cheating and wearing an outfit he considered way too revealing for the occasion.

Former ESPN Host Doubts ABC Will Discipline Jimmy Kimmel Over Melania Trump Joke
Sage Steele predicts ABC won't discipline Jimmy Kimmel over his Melania Trump joke, despite calling it 'hateful rhetoric' and urging new CEO Josh D'Amaro to take action.

“Left a day early because I have real responsibilities,” McBee wrote, clearly fired up. “Just got two other calls about this situation as well. Damn. Embarrassing to put this out there but figured there’s no reason to gatekeep.”

But the rancher quickly realized he’d overstepped. In a follow-up, McBee admitted he shouldn’t have aired the dirty laundry on social media. “Equanimity is not my strong suit,” he confessed. “People were gonna find out about this, but I shouldn’t have been the one airing the screenshots out. So I apologize for that.” He also acknowledged that dating him isn’t easy, describing himself as “extreme type A” with mood swings and high stress levels.

Still, McBee didn’t back down entirely. He alleged that Eklund was “hand-holding, grinding, dancing” at an afterparty while he had to leave early. “I have real responsibilities,” he said, adding a cutting remark: “The writing should have been on the wall … you don’t have a housewife, you have a ‘whore-ible’ person to date.”

Eklund, who boasts 300,000 Instagram followers, fired back on her own Story. She called the public accusation “really sad” and “extremely unfair,” noting that she had protected McBee many times during their relationship. She posted a video from the festival to defend herself and claimed her ex has a history of verbal abuse when emotions run high. “I chose not to respond to him immediately because he has a history of verbally abusing me while he’s in a heightened emotional state,” she wrote. “I felt it was more appropriate to have a private, level-headed conversation.”

The influencer made it clear she wants the drama to end. “I’ve handled everything in this relationship privately and with respect, even when it hasn’t been easy,” she said. “This situation is painful and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I plan on taking time to process and move forward.”

This messy breakup is just the latest in a string of high-profile splits that have played out in public view. Recently, Morgan Riddle dropped a 'World's Best Ex-Girlfriend' tease after her split with Taylor Fritz, showing that even top athletes aren’t immune to relationship drama. And in the world of sports fashion, CBS Sports reporter Claudia Bellofatto faced backlash for her 'inappropriate' NFL Draft dress, proving that style choices can spark major controversy.

For now, both McBee and Eklund seem ready to move on—though the rancher’s apology suggests he’s learned a hard lesson about airing private grievances in public. As he put it, “Did not expect to wake up to that, given where I was 12 hours ago.”
