WWE icon Nikki Bella is carving out a different kind of legacy—one that has nothing to do with championship gold. In a recent interview, the longtime superstar made it clear that when fans look back on her career, she hopes they remember something far more personal than her title reigns.

Bella sat down with Fox News Digital and shared a heartfelt vision of how she wants to be remembered. Instead of being measured by championship numbers or being placed on some all-time greats list, she wants her legacy to be about something deeper.

Trump's Memorial Day Attack on Democrats Sparks Fury as Nation Honors Fallen
President Trump faced backlash after a Memorial Day post that attacked Democrats while honoring military sacrifices. Critics called it 'classless' and 'inappropriate.'

“I would love definitely to be remembered as fearless, as someone who wasn’t scared to use her voice, someone who wasn’t scared to pave the ways, someone who wasn’t scared to stand up to all the hate, who can still be her even when people try to tear you down,” Bella said.

It’s a perspective that stands out in a world where athletes are often ranked and compared—like the recent debates around LeBron James being left off all-time top 5 lists. But for Bella, the focus is on impact, not rankings.

“What I’ve realized, and this is in any industry and this is throughout time, it’s never easy to be first or be the loudest about something,” she continued. “And there’s so many people who helped pave the way before us but when you’re at the forefront or when you’re at the face of that, you take on everything that comes with it – hate, love, support, everything.”

Bella, who has long been known as “Fearless Nikki,” says that label isn’t just a nickname—it’s a way of life. She embraces the challenges that come with being a trailblazer, even when the criticism is harsh.

“I think that’s where I truly live up to being ‘Fearless’ Nikki, I just don’t stop. Even when I’m not at my best or when I’m at my greatest. I hope at the end of the day, people can look back and respect that too – even the ones who can be so disrespectful. They see things in such a different way and they really just don’t know. I hope to be remembered as that over anything.”

Bella understands that many fans measure greatness by championship wins—13-time champion, 10-time, five-time. But she’s always measured success differently. She points to her “Bella Army” of fans as her greatest achievement.

“I get some people get hooked on champion numbers, like 13 time, 10 time, five time, you know, for me, it’s always been about impact,” she said. “And if the people tuning in, I was able to change some people’s lives. Maybe they were being raised in a not great home and I gave them the ability to be fearless and to use their voice to know they could be someone great one day, to me, that’s being a champion and that’s what I’d love to be more than anything. I look at my Bella Army and they are my true accomplishment. That is better than any championship I could ever win, ever.”

Bella’s call for fearlessness and using one’s voice resonates beyond wrestling. It’s a message that echoes in other sports too, like when she recently called out Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham to step up. And it’s a reminder that sometimes the most powerful legacy isn’t a trophy—it’s the lives you touch.

For Bella, the goal is simple: be remembered as someone who made a difference. And by that measure, she’s already a champion many times over.
