Rob Gronkowski and Camille Kostek are not here for the rumor mill. The legendary tight end and his longtime girlfriend, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Camille Kostek, are speaking out against what they call false narratives about their political views.
On Election Day, the couple made a trip to New Hampshire to encourage people to vote. While there, Gronk was spotted signing jerseys and snapping photos near a Turning Point USA tent. That was all it took for the internet to run wild, with many assuming the four-time All-Pro was working alongside the organization founded by the late Charlie Kirk.
But on Thursday afternoon, Gronkowski set the record straight with a statement that Kostek quickly shared on her Instagram Story. “It has been upsetting and eye opening to see the narratives around my visit to NH on Election Day with Camille,” he said. “In regard to the images and videos circulating we are not endorsed by or affiliated with Turning Point USA.”
The former Patriots star explained that after stopping at Goffstown High School, they crossed the street to greet fans who were yelling their names. “We simply took some pictures and I signed some things for them before leaving,” he added. “We took photos with people across the political spectrum throughout that morning.”
Gronk didn't hold back on his frustration with the media's spin. “We cannot control what the media has made of it and running with – so we are here to shut down the false narratives,” he wrote. “It’s disappointing to see an innocent moment stripped of context and turned into clickbait. Our message has always been and always will be to treat everyone with kindness and hope you all will do the same.”
This isn't the first time Gronk has found himself in the middle of political chatter. Earlier this year, his Election Day appearance sparked similar speculation. But the couple is clearly done with the noise, especially with such a big moment on the horizon.
On Saturday afternoon, Gronkowski will be inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame, an honor voted on by New England fans back in April. Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who recently underwent back surgery and missed the ceremony, had nothing but praise for the big man. “I just love Gronk. One of my greatest moments of love and affection for him was draft day, celebrating on the stage with his dad and brothers. It personified who he is,” Kraft said. “He became a fan favorite almost immediately and remained the standard at tight end for nearly a decade.”
Gronkowski's numbers with the Patriots speak for themselves: 521 receptions, 7,861 yards, and 79 touchdowns over his tenure in New England. He's a four-time Super Bowl champion and five-time Pro Bowler, and there's no question he deserves a spot in the team's Hall of Fame.
For now, Gronk and Kostek are focused on celebrating his legacy, not the rumors. As Gronk put it, they're just hoping people will spread kindness instead of clickbait.
