A devastating accident unfolded Tuesday morning in Belgium, where a school bus carrying children collided with a train, leaving several people dead and others injured. The crash occurred near the town of Buggenhout, about 20 miles northwest of Brussels, during the morning rush hour.

According to authorities, at least four people lost their lives in the tragedy. Among the victims were two children, aged 12 and 15, as well as the bus driver and an escort. Five other children were hospitalized with serious injuries, officials confirmed.
