Tom Brady, the seven-time Super Bowl champion widely regarded as the greatest quarterback in NFL history, is ready to step into a different kind of arena. During a recent appearance at Fanatics Fest, Brady sat down with WWE superstar Cody Rhodes and revealed he's open to competing in at least one professional wrestling match.
“I need to get an invite. I’ve been waiting for Nick Khan to come up with some storyline for me to get in the mix,” Brady said Thursday. “I feel like I’m retired from football, and I have an opportunity to go out there, still showcase that I’m a little bit of an athlete.”
The three-time MVP even name-dropped some familiar faces who have already made the leap. “My boy Gronk’s done it, I’ve seen, obviously Logan Paul do it, I think I could get in there for at least one match, right? C’mon Nick, c’mon make it happen.”
Brady’s flirtation with pro wrestling isn't entirely new. He's been linked to the WWE before, but this is the first time he's publicly called for a specific storyline. And if he does get the call, he already knows how he wants to be portrayed.
“It’s such an easy choice,” Brady told Rhodes. “I’m a bad guy; I’ve always been a bad guy. I feel like when our teams did really well, I would always go into these stadiums … when you go on the road, and you’ve had some success, they don’t like you.”
That heel persona would be a natural fit for Brady, whose legendary career was defined by relentless winning that made him a villain in opposing stadiums. From his early days with the Patriots to his late-career triumph with the Buccaneers, Brady was booed as often as he was celebrated. Now, he wants to channel that energy into the squared circle.
The idea of Brady in a WWE ring has already sparked plenty of buzz, especially after he recently slapped Logan Paul at a fan event—a moment that left fans unimpressed. But Brady remains undeterred, and he's clearly angling for a high-profile spot.
For now, the ball is in WWE president Nick Khan's court. If Khan can craft a compelling storyline, the GOAT might just trade the gridiron for the grappling mat—at least for one night.
