Paula Badosa is heating up the offseason with a scorching new swimsuit photo that has fans buzzing. The former world No. 2 took to Instagram to share a series of stunning snaps, captioning them with a simple yet intriguing phrase: "Just a little life update."
The post comes as Badosa takes a brief pause from the WTA Tour, skipping this week's National Bank Open in Toronto. It's a strategic breather for the Spanish star, who has been battling injuries and inconsistent form over the past few seasons.
Badosa's recent struggles were on full display at the Iași Open in late July, where she reached the final but was forced to retire mid-match due to physical issues. An emotional Badosa addressed the crowd, saying, "I hate this moment right now. I couldn’t keep up with my body, so I apologize for that."
Determined to bounce back, she competed at the Bitpanda Hamburg Open, winning two matches before falling to Mayar Sherif. Now, with a little R&R, she appears to be recharging both mentally and physically.
The Instagram post quickly ignited a frenzy among fans and fellow players alike. Rising star Eva Lys commented, "I LOOOOOVE the life update," while fans flooded the comments with praise. "So stunning," one wrote, and another added, "Hope you’re happy and healthy Paula."
When Badosa is at full strength, she's a formidable force on hard courts. She reached the US Open quarterfinals in 2024 and made a deep run to the Australian Open semifinals in 2025. If her body holds up over the next few weeks, she could be a serious threat to make another deep run in Flushing Meadows.
The main draw of the 2026 US Open kicks off on August 30, and Badosa's fans are eagerly hoping this little life update is a sign of good things to come.
