The first crystal-clear photos of Madison Beer's engagement ring from Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert have surfaced, and they're every bit as dazzling as the rumored price tag suggests.
The 27-year-old pop star stepped out at Variety's Power of Young Hollywood 2026 party at The Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles on Wednesday, giving photographers and fans their best look yet at the sparkler that has the internet buzzing.
According to Page Six, the ring features "an elongated cushion-cut diamond weighing between 10 and 15 carats," with an estimated value between $700,000 and $1.2 million. That specific cut is "much rarer than a traditional cushion and creates a graceful, finger-lengthening effect," jewelry designer Logan Hollowell told Page Six Style.
Beer and Herbert announced their engagement earlier this summer, just about a year after they began dating publicly. Herbert proposed in early July, and the couple has quickly become one of the NFL's most talked-about power pairs, joining the ranks of recent NFL engagements that have captured fan attention.
PDA Sparks Controversy
But not everyone is cheering for the lovebirds. Earlier this week, video surfaced of Herbert and Beer getting cozy on the field after Chargers practice, and Fox Sports 1's Chris Broussard was not amused.
"This could have led the show," Broussard said on First Things First. "This has to be a joke. Like, I mean, were they just doing that? Like, having fun? You can't let that happen. I'm sorry. I get it. You're in love and all that, but come on!"
He doubled down, adding: "That's kissy-poo! That is not 'you got something in your hair' because it looks like he's rubbing her hair, too, or something. I mean, that is footsy. Where's [Chargers head coach] Jim Harbaugh? Where is he at?"
The backlash has reignited debate about on-field PDA and professionalism, but the couple appears unfazed. Beer's mom has already given her heartfelt approval to the engagement, and the pair seems blissfully happy.
What's Next for the Couple?
With training camp underway and the regular season approaching, Herbert will have plenty on his plate. But for now, the ring — and the romance — are stealing the spotlight. As for the price tag? For a quarterback with a massive contract, a million-dollar rock is just a drop in the bucket.
Whether the critics like it or not, Madison Beer and Justin Herbert are proving that love and football can mix — even if it means a little extra attention during practice.
