Rutledge, who joined ESPN in 2014 as a reporter for SEC Network, has become a household name in sports broadcasting. She took over as the full-time host of NFL Live in June 2020 and recently earned a coveted spot on the Monday Night Football sideline crew. Now, she's proving she can command attention both on and off the screen.
Pink Dress Steals the Spotlight
In a series of Instagram photos posted Tuesday, Rutledge rocked a vibrant pink dress that had fans flooding the comments with praise. "How can you be so Beautiful," one follower wrote, while another declared, "Pink is your best color." A third fan simply dropped a fire emoji, summing up the internet's reaction.
This isn't the first time an NFL personality has wowed fans with off-field style. Katie Darnold's recent swimsuit snap also turned heads earlier this offseason. But Rutledge's look has a special significance as she gears up for a bigger role in 2025.
New Role, Bigger Stage
ESPN announced that Rutledge will join Lisa Salters as a second sideline reporter for all 25 NFL on ESPN games this season. The network's press release highlighted her growth: "Rutledge, now a two-time Emmy recipient as the host of NFL Live and reporting for SEC on ABC, has joined Buck, Aikman and Salters for marquee MNF regular season games and ESPN's Wild Card and Divisional playoff games for the past few seasons."
This promotion comes after years of sharing the sidelines with Salters during big games. It's a testament to her hard work and versatility as a broadcaster.
Saying Goodbye to SEC Nation
Rutledge also announced in May that she's stepping away from SEC Nation after a decade at the helm. The decision left many college football fans disappointed, but she made it clear it was a heartfelt goodbye.
"Ten years ago, I walked onto this set not fully knowing what the journey would become. Today, I walk away knowing it became one of the most meaningful chapters of my life," Rutledge wrote. "SEC Nation has never just been a show to me. It's been a family, a front-row seat to the passion of college football and a weekly reminder of what makes the SEC so special."
Her departure from the college football scene opens the door for even more focus on the NFL. With her new responsibilities on Monday Night Football, fans can expect to see plenty more of Rutledge—both in the booth and, apparently, in style.
