Jeff Ulbrich, a former NFL linebacker who played a decade with the San Francisco 49ers, transitioned to coaching after his playing days ended in 2009. He quickly climbed the ranks, starting as an assistant special teams coordinator with the Seattle Seahawks before moving to UCLA as linebackers coach and special teams coordinator.
He joined the Falcons in 2015 as their linebackers coach, was promoted to assistant head coach in 2020, and later served as interim defensive coordinator that season. His most prominent role came as the New York Jets' defensive coordinator from 2021 to 2024, where he briefly took over as interim head coach after Robert Saleh's dismissal.
