Mahomes Praises Crosby as Chiefs-Raiders Rivalry Heats Up
Patrick Mahomes and Maxx Crosby share mutual respect ahead of their Week 4 clash, with Mahomes praising Crosby's competitiveness and drive.

This isn't just a quick fly-in, fly-out trip. The squad will be making several special appearances throughout the weekend, soaking in the local culture and connecting with fans before the historic kickoff at 4:25 p.m. ET, which will air on CBS.

The cheerleaders also took a moment to honor their roots over the weekend, paying tribute to the legacy that has made them one of the most recognizable squads in sports. Their presence in Rio adds an extra layer of excitement to what's already a monumental occasion for the franchise.

But while the cheerleaders bring the sparkle, there's some concern about the playing surface at Maracanã. Flamengo goalkeeper Agustin Rossi didn't mince words, calling the field "unbelievable" in its current state.

"Both penalty areas are bad as [expletive]," Rossi said. "If you look at it, there are bumps everywhere. There's still going to be an NFL game here during the international break. After that game, I hope the field is in better shape."

Despite those worries, the game is moving forward as planned. Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer addressed the situation, expressing confidence in the league's oversight.

"We talked a little bit today with the operations people," Schottenheimer said. "Todd Williams and his team have been in direct contact with the league. The league seems to feel like everything's going to be fine and, in reality, we were focused on this [game against the Commanders]. But, I have no concerns. I'm aware of some of the quotes and stuff, but again, I trust that the league's going to make the right decision and they'll get the field up to standard."

The Cowboys are coming off a dramatic win over Washington, a game that had fans buzzing about a controversial no-catch call that went Dallas' way. Now they're shifting focus to a foreign field and a Ravens team that's always a tough out.

Owner Jerry Jones, never one to shy away from a bold move, has been making headlines himself, recently quipping that there's nothing more dangerous than an old man with money as he continues to invest heavily in the roster. This trip to Brazil is another example of the Cowboys' global brand reaching new heights.

As the cheerleaders prepare to bring their signature energy to Rio, fans can expect a weekend full of memorable moments — both on and off the field. The game itself promises to be a spectacle, with the Cowboys looking to build momentum and the Ravens hoping to spoil the party.

So mark your calendars: Sunday's kickoff at Maracanã is set for 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS. It's a historic moment for the Cowboys, the NFL, and the cheerleaders who are ready to make Brazil their stage.
