Forget the Hollywood Hills. Carrie Underwood is trading glamour for goats, and she couldn't be happier. The country superstar recently opened up about her decision to leave California behind and embrace a completely different kind of life on a sprawling 400-acre farm in Tennessee.

Underwood, 43, and her husband, former NHL star Mike Fisher, purchased the property back in 2019. It's a far cry from the glitz and glam of Los Angeles, where she once lived among other A-listers. But for Underwood, the move was about more than just a change of scenery—it was about finding a deeper connection to the earth and her family.

Angel Reese Drops 'Gala Green' Kicks Just in Time for Met Gala Week
Angel Reese launches the 'Gala Green' Reebok sneaker just days before the Met Gala, blending basketball culture with high fashion. Fans are calling it a perfect crossover.

“My goal is to just do as much as I can myself,” Underwood told US Weekly. “I love it. It’s a challenge, and it’s frustrating, and it’s exciting, and it’s rewarding, and just all the things.”

The singer admits the transition from red carpets to dirt roads was jarring. She laughs about the stark contrast between her work life and her home life. “I go home, and I had to have talks with my family at one point, because I was like, ‘Okay, when I’m away, I’m like, Cinderella at the ball.’ I’m a princess, and it’s great,” she explained. “And then I come home, and I’m like, covered in dirt. I’m covered in poop. It’s just the polar opposite. I’m like, cleaning up after everybody and barefoot in the kitchen. But I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

The Fisher family has fully embraced farm life, raising goats, sheep, chickens, cows, donkeys, and horses. They also grow a massive vegetable garden. Underwood says the setup is so extensive that she believes they could sustain themselves entirely from their land. “If I had all the time in the world, I would… not really need to go to the grocery store for too much,” she told Fox News Digital. “But it’s a lot of fun. You know, I love our chickens. We have cows, we have sheep, we have donkeys. We have horses. I have my garden, and it’s a great way to connect with the earth. That’s my contribution to the family.”

Underwood's decision to leave California comes as no surprise to fans who have watched her embrace a more grounded lifestyle. The move also highlights a growing trend among celebrities seeking a slower pace away from the hustle of Hollywood. For Underwood, it's clearly a win—even if it means getting her hands dirty.

In a world where many stars chase the spotlight, Underwood is content to find her joy in the soil. As she says, it's all part of the adventure.
