Brooks Nader is trading the pages of Sports Illustrated for the sands of a beloved beachside franchise. The model, who became a household name through her stunning SI Swimsuit covers, has officially joined the cast of FOX's upcoming Baywatch reboot—and she's already making a splash in that iconic red swimsuit.
Nader, who first appeared in SI Swimsuit in 2019 and landed her first cover in 2023, is no stranger to turning heads. But her latest role marks a new chapter, blending her modeling fame with a TV gig that's sure to get fans talking. The reboot, set to premiere during the 2026-2027 season, follows a new generation of lifeguards, with Nader stepping into the world of sun, sand, and drama.
“When I decided to stand in that line in Miami for SI Swim Search with a chance to be in the 2019 issue, I was so nervous, I was doubting myself, I was feeling insecure,” Nader said. “Sports Illustrated literally launched me, launched my career, made other people realize that everything is accepted, everything is O.K., it’s O.K. to be you, and this is the only shoot that I’m literally never nervous for, I’m just excited for, so I feel like that speaks volumes about the team, the experience, like the whole vibe of SI Swimsuit and I’m so lucky to be a part of this family.”
Now, she's bringing that confidence to the small screen. Baywatch will feature Stephen Amell as Hobie, the wild-child son of original star Mitch Buchannon, who now serves as Baywatch Captain. His world gets turned upside down when his daughter Charlie (Jessica Belkin) shows up eager to continue the family legacy. The show also includes a stacked cast with Noah Beck, Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone, and Shay Mitchell.
Nader isn't the only SI Swimsuit alum joining the fun. Former LSU gymnastics star Olivia Dunne is also set to appear, adding more star power to the already buzzy project. Fans got an early glimpse of Nader in her swimsuit, and the internet quickly took notice.
This isn't the first time a swimsuit model has crossed over into acting, but Nader's transition feels especially seamless. Her journey from a nervous hopeful at a casting call to a cover model and now a TV star is the kind of story that resonates with fans who've followed her rise. She's often shared how the SI platform changed her life, and now she's leveraging that momentum into a role that feels tailor-made for her.
The reboot has already generated plenty of chatter, especially with its blend of established stars and fresh faces. Nader's casting adds a layer of glamour that Baywatch is known for, and her early photos have set social media abuzz. It's a reminder that sometimes, the right swimsuit—and the right attitude—can open doors to unexpected opportunities.
While the show won't hit screens until 2027, the anticipation is building. For Nader, it's another milestone in a career that keeps climbing. Whether she's on the cover of a magazine or patrolling the beach in a red one-piece, she's proving that she's more than just a pretty face—she's a force to be reckoned with.
As the countdown to Baywatch begins, fans are already wondering what Nader will bring to the role. If her track record with SI Swimsuit is any guide, she'll deliver plenty of memorable moments. And for those who can't wait, there's always the summer swimsuit inspiration from other stars to tide them over.
Will you be tuning in when Baywatch makes its return? With Nader leading the charge, it's shaping up to be a show worth watching.
