Destiny Williams

Destiny Williams came to sports journalism through an unexpected route: she was originally a features writer at a city magazine before discovering her passion for sports storytelling during the 2018 Winter Olympics. She joined Sports Central News in 2022 and quickly established herself as the writer who can make any sport compelling to any reader. Destiny is particularly skilled at writing about athletes from underrepresented communities and finding the bigger cultural narratives hiding inside sports stories. She is based in Chicago and covers a dozen different sports throughout the year.
