Compton, who played for several teams including the Washington Commanders and the Las Vegas Raiders, thought he had a solid connection with Kelce. He's been a regular at Kelce's Tight End University camp and even hosted the Chiefs star on his podcast Bussin' With the Boys alongside co-host Taylor Lewan. So when the wedding invitations went out, Compton expected to be in the room.

Compton Calls Out the Guest List
In a conversation with his former Barstool Sports boss Dave Portnoy, Compton admitted he didn't think much of it at first. But then he started seeing who actually scored an invite. The breaking point? Learning that NFL rules analyst Dean Blandino was on the list.
“I saw Dean Blandino got an invite. Is that real?” Compton asked incredulously. It was indeed real. Blandino and much of the NFL on FOX crew received invitations to the lavish ceremony.
Compton didn't let the snub slide. He took to social media, posting: “Don't think I've ever seen Dean Blandino at Tight End University.” The tweet made it clear that Compton feels the slight was personal.
A History of Critical Comments?
It's possible that Compton's past criticism of the Kansas City Chiefs played a role in the snub. He has previously suggested that the team gets favorable treatment from NFL officials. In one tweet from October 2025, he wrote: “Here come the Chiefs & the referees in the 4th quarter.”
While Compton hasn't directly linked his critical tweets to the missing invitation, the timing is hard to ignore. Kelce and Swift's wedding was a carefully curated affair, and it seems Compton's name didn't make the final cut.
Meanwhile, other guests like Kelly Stafford attended after previously making critical comments, showing that the couple is willing to forgive and forget — at least for some.
