The San Jose State University community is reeling after a grim discovery over the weekend. Two individuals—a man and a woman—were found unresponsive inside a vehicle in the school's West Garage on Saturday afternoon, and despite emergency efforts, they could not be revived.
Authorities were alerted to the scene around 2 p.m. local time at the parking structure located at 350 S. 4th St. Firefighters arrived quickly and administered CPR, but the pair was pronounced dead at 2:20 p.m., according to officials. The identities of the deceased have not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
San Jose State police have confirmed that the two are not believed to be affiliated with the university. The investigation into the cause of their deaths is ongoing, with law enforcement working to piece together the events leading up to the tragedy.
