Friday's episode of PFT Live took a frightening turn when co-host Michael Holley suddenly fainted on camera. The incident occurred as Mike Florio was speaking, and viewers watched Holley sway, blink rapidly, and then tip backward out of frame.
Florio immediately stopped the show and cut to a commercial break to get Holley assistance. Shortly after, ProFootballTalk confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that Holley had become overheated and fainted, but thankfully recovered quickly and is now doing fine.
"On Friday's @PFT_Live, Michael Holley became overheated and fainted in the studio in his home. We immediately went to a commercial break in order to get him assistance. Fortunately, Michael recovered quickly and is fine," the network tweeted.
Florio Explains the Scare
Speaking with Awful Announcing, Florio revealed that Holley's home studio was "very warm," and Holley hadn't eaten or drunk anything before the show. Florio admitted he didn't notice anything was wrong until Holley slumped because his focus was on the camera, not the monitor showing his co-host.
"Michael was in the studio at his home. It's very warm in there. He hadn't had anything to eat or drink before the show. He became overheated during the show and passed out. I didn't notice until he slumped in his seat, because I was looking at the camera, not the monitor. We went to break right away to try to get him assistance, if he needed it. Fortunately, he recovered quickly and is fine," Florio said.
