Lindsey Vonn just proved age is just a number. The legendary U.S. skier, who turned 42 this week, sent social media into a frenzy with a birthday swimsuit photo that’s anything but subtle. The snapshot, shared on her Instagram, shows Vonn soaking up the last rays of summer in a tiny bikini, and fans are absolutely losing it.
“Ok I lied… Chance and I managed to catch a few more days of summer….😁🙌🏻❤️💃🏼 maybe I’ve just been in the wrong place all these years 😉 🇫🇷 And now I’m tired and happy 🥰,” she captioned the post, which features her lounging in the sun with her dog, Chance.
The post has racked up hundreds of thousands of likes and a flood of comments, with fans marveling at her fit physique and youthful glow. “You’re practically half European by now and you’re very welcome here 🇫🇷🇦🇹 😅,” one follower wrote, while others chimed in with simple but emphatic reactions like “Wow!” and “Stunning!” The admiration was unanimous, with many calling her an inspiration.
Vonn has been open about her recovery from a devastating knee injury suffered during the Winter Olympics earlier this year. The crash cut her final Olympic run short and required surgery, but she’s been determined to stay active and positive. Her birthday post is just the latest example of her resilience and zest for life.
This isn’t the first time Vonn has turned heads with a sizzling social media post. She’s known for sharing glimpses of her adventurous lifestyle, whether she’s on the slopes, at the beach, or exploring new cities. Her fans eat it up every time, and this birthday snapshot is no exception.
At 42, Vonn remains a force both on and off the slopes. She’s a three-time Olympic medalist and one of the most decorated skiers in history, and her social media presence keeps her connected to millions of admirers. Her latest post is a reminder that she’s still got it—and then some.
For those who can’t get enough of athletes showing off their beach-ready bods, this birthday post is right up there with other viral moments like Candice Swanepoel’s recent swimsuit snap and Elizabeth Hurley’s Malibu stunner. Vonn’s photo is proof that confidence and hard work pay off, no matter your age.
So, happy birthday, Lindsey—and thanks for the gift of this amazing photo. Fans are certainly grateful, and the internet is all the better for it.
