Joy Taylor may no longer be a fixture on Fox Sports, but she’s proving she can still steal the spotlight. The former Speak and The Herd host turned up the heat this week with a sizzling video of herself enjoying a boat day, rocking a stunning red swimsuit that had fans buzzing.
Taylor posted the clip on Instagram, and it didn't take long for the comments to pour in. Admirers called her a “natural beauty,” while others simply declared her “gorgeous” and “stunning.” The post is the latest example of Taylor’s ability to go viral, even after her departure from national television.
Her exit from Fox Sports came amid a lawsuit filed by former makeup artist Noushin Faraji, which Taylor’s spokeswoman called “devoid of merit and appear to have been strategically framed to create unwarranted publicity.” Despite that, FS1 decided to move on from Taylor last year. Reflecting on the experience, Taylor said, “It doesn’t feel like work when you’re doing something that you actually enjoy. I think what happened to me this year took that away from me.” She added that the excitement hasn't returned yet, but she's hopeful.
Now, Taylor is channeling her energy into a new project. She recently launched The Daily Play, a podcast that delivers 5-10 minute episodes covering the biggest sports stories. “I wanted to create something fast, focused, and always authentic,” Taylor said. “Sports fans are busy, but they want the context behind the conversation. With The Daily Play, I’m giving them what it means and what to watch next—in just a few minutes.”
The podcast is produced in partnership with Urban One, a move Taylor calls a return to her radio roots. It’s a fresh start for the sports media personality, who built her reputation as a sharp moderator on Undisputed alongside Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe before joining Colin Cowherd on The Herd. She later co-hosted Speak with Emmanuel Acho.
Taylor’s red swimsuit moment isn’t the only time a sports media figure has made waves in a swimsuit. Just last month, Olympic pole vaulter Alysha Newman stunned in a tiny pink swimsuit while announcing her Victoria’s Secret gig. And an NFL sideline reporter sparked a frenzy with a daring black swimsuit snap earlier this year.
Whether Taylor’s podcast will propel her career to new heights remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: she still knows how to grab attention. With her signature confidence and a bold red swimsuit, Joy Taylor is reminding everyone that she’s still very much in the game.
