New York Giants offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor is pushing back hard against any suggestion that quarterback Jaxson Dart’s recent political comments have fractured the team. In a blunt social media post, the veteran lineman declared the locker room is just fine, thank you very much.

“Locker Room is fine. Focus on New England,” Eluemunor wrote on X, directly challenging a report from Ben Volin of the Boston Globe that claimed Dart had “just divided his locker room.” The move came after Dart publicly praised President Donald Trump at a rally, drawing a sharp rebuke from teammate Abdul Carter.

Did Harbaugh Pull the Plug on Abdul Carter's Political Jab at Jaxson Dart?
A fake tweet claimed John Harbaugh disciplined Abdul Carter for blasting Jaxson Dart over Trump rally. The truth? It's a parody account. But the locker room tension is real.

Eluemunor, one of the most experienced players on the roster, didn’t mince words. His message was clear: the drama exists mostly online, not inside the facility. Still, fans were split. Some breathed a sigh of relief that the team seems unfazed, while others wondered if Eluemunor’s statement was more about damage control than reality.

“Running to twitter to convince us. lol so sure locker room fine,” one skeptical fan posted. Another wrote, “People get dramatic online. Real life tends to be much calmer.”

It’s not the first time the Giants have had to navigate a political storm involving Dart. Earlier, Giants legend Jumbo Elliott blasted Dart for his Trump support, calling it “pitiful.” And Carter’s criticism of his own quarterback only added fuel to the fire. But Eluemunor’s intervention suggests the players themselves are ready to move on.

At the end of the day, the Giants have bigger fish to fry. They’re preparing for a tough season opener against the New England Patriots, and no one in the building is going to let a political disagreement derail that. Whether Carter and Dart share the same views or not, they’ll have to line up together and do their jobs.

Expect plenty of pointed questions during training camp about this whole kerfuffle. But by Week 1, the narrative will likely shift back to football. As one fan put it, “Probably be normal grown men and get on with life.”

For now, Eluemunor has made his stance clear: the only thing that matters is the game ahead. The rest is just noise.
