Former WNBA guard Kysre Gondrezick is putting the world on notice: don't spread lies about her, or you'll hear from her lawyers.
The 2021 first-round pick took to social media this week to fire a warning shot at anyone who's been peddling misinformation about her latest career move. Gondrezick recently launched a Fanvue account, but some folks on the internet jumped the gun and assumed she was joining OnlyFans. She's not having it.
“Speculation and apprehension shouldn’t generate false online publishing,” Gondrezick wrote Thursday. “Crazy how at the expense of being right, one rather be first. Anyone that has publicized and ran with headlines that are NOT true in regard to me joining another platform will be hearing from my legal team x.”
The 27-year-old guard, who was drafted fourth overall by the Indiana Fever in 2021 out of West Virginia, has been keeping busy since her WNBA career hit a rough patch. After a short stint with the Chicago Sky in 2024 where she averaged just 3.2 minutes per game, she was released mid-season. But Gondrezick hasn't faded from the spotlight. Earlier this year, she made headlines as the first active female basketball player to pose for Playboy.
Now, with her new Fanvue page, she's offering fans exclusive content—photos, videos, and live streams—but she's making it crystal clear that this isn't the same as OnlyFans. That distinction matters to her, and she's ready to back it up with legal muscle.
This isn't the first time Gondrezick has been in the news for off-court ventures. In fact, her name has been floating around in headlines about possible OnlyFans speculation for a while now. But she's determined to set the record straight.
As for her basketball future, Gondrezick has made it clear she's not done with the game. But a devastating torn Achilles suffered during a workout in January has put those plans on hold. She underwent immediate surgery and posted a heartfelt message on Instagram about the setback.
“This hurts! Truly one of the hardest, most shocking moments of my journey thus far,” she wrote. “I was diagnosed with a torn Achilles this week and am heading into immediate surgery. I truly don’t wish this upon anyone, but I believe in my creator and in the discipline of becoming the best player and version of myself from this experience.”
The injury means Gondrezick won't be back on the hardwood until at least the 2027 season, assuming a WNBA team is willing to give her another shot. Until then, she's focusing on her recovery and her content platform—and making sure the internet gets her story straight.
