“Yeah, I’m a big conspiracy theorist. Shout out to my quarterback,” Metcalf said with a grin, giving a nod to Aaron Rodgers, who is no stranger to unconventional beliefs. The connection between the two has clearly sparked some interesting conversations in the Steelers' locker room.
A Theory That Goes Deep
Metcalf's favorite theory? That there's an entire civilization living inside the Earth, possibly hiding out in Antarctica. “I think there is another civilization inside of Earth,” he declared. He also questioned why it's so hard to visit Antarctica compared to other remote destinations.
“You can go to Alaska. You could go to the North Pole. But why not Antarctica? Why can’t you just book a trip to Antarctica?” Metcalf asked, seemingly unaware that tourism to the frozen continent does exist, albeit limited and mostly via cruise ships from South America or flights from New Zealand.
He also hinted at secret gatherings of world leaders in Antarctica, suggesting there's more going on than meets the eye. While the Antarctic Treaty System does hold regular meetings, these are administrative and open to public records—not exactly a shadowy cabal.
Rodgers' Influence?
Metcalf was quick to clarify that Rodgers didn't turn him into a conspiracy theorist—he was already down that rabbit hole. Still, having a quarterback who shares similar views probably makes for some lively film sessions.
As conspiracy theories go, Metcalf's is relatively tame, but that hasn't stopped the internet from roasting him. Fans are already debating whether his on-field performance will overshadow his off-field musings.
