The drama surrounding Dak Prescott's personal life has taken a legal turn. Sarah Jane Ramos, the former fiancée of the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, has publicly warned sports media personality Craig Carton to remove a video she claims is defamatory—or face a lawsuit.
Ramos, who split with Prescott earlier this year, took to Instagram to voice her displeasure with Carton's comments. In the video, Carton—who has worked in New York sports radio and for Fox Sports 1, and now hosts a show on Outkick—joked about the rumors surrounding Prescott's breakup with Ramos, saying, "If I was a thick bartender and I saw a way into luxury for life, I would've slept with Dak Prescott too."
Ramos did not take kindly to the remark. In a comment on Carton's post, she wrote, "Literally nothing you're saying or posting is true and you could be sued for defamation so I would take this down…"
This is not the first time Ramos has addressed the speculation about her relationship with Prescott. Earlier this fall, she posted a pointed Instagram comment denying rumors that she was pregnant, attributing the speculation to her appearance. "Hi everyone. Not pregnant!! Just very thick, eating again, and happier than I've been in a long time!" she wrote, adding that she had left "a situation that makes you unhappy" and that "money doesn't buy happiness."
Prescott, meanwhile, has remained focused on football. The Cowboys quarterback is set to lead his team against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night, and he has spoken about how his faith helps him navigate adversity. "I've got too many blessings to look at my trials," Prescott said, emphasizing that he wakes up grateful every morning and is inspired by his two daughters and his role as the Cowboys' signal-caller.
Thursday's game against the Buccaneers is a crucial one for Dallas, and Prescott's leadership will be under the spotlight. The matchup is scheduled for an 8:15 p.m. E.T. kickoff and will be broadcast on Amazon Prime.
As the legal threat hangs in the air, it remains to be seen whether Carton will heed Ramos's warning or double down on his commentary. For now, the focus shifts to the gridiron, where Prescott hopes to lead his team to victory.
