Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim has swapped her winter gear for something a little more sizzling. The 26-year-old gold medalist recently set social media ablaze with a photoshoot featuring a bold red dress that had fans doing double takes.
Kim, who became a household name after dominating the halfpipe at the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics, added another medal to her collection earlier this year. She took home silver in the halfpipe event, falling just short of gold to South Korea's Choi Gaon. Despite the close finish, Kim showed immense grace, praising her competitors in a heartfelt statement.
“Such an honor to be part of this sport. I had so much fun last night and I hope you all enjoyed watching the progression of Women’s Halfpipe snowboarding! A month ago, I wasn’t even sure if I’d be able to compete. I was in the darkest space mentally and felt so much fear coming back. To land my run in my first final of the season was the most rewarding and validating thing I’ve ever experienced,” Kim said. “Congratulations to Mitsuki Ono, I am so in awe of you and your style. I’ve admired you since our lead up into the Beijing games. And a massive congratulations to Choi Gaon. Your strength and mental fortitude is beyond inspirational. I’m excited to watch you continue to shine like I always knew you would.”
While it's unclear if Kim will chase gold again in 2030, she's clearly making the most of her downtime. The snowboarding star shared a series of vacation photos earlier this week that sparked a frenzy, followed by the now-viral red dress images that had fans flooding the comments.
“My jaw is on the floor,” one fan wrote. “She’s tan and hotter than ever,” another added. “Wow beautiful,” a third chimed in. The reaction was reminiscent of the buzz around Paige Spiranac's red golf dress, which also turned heads earlier this year.
Kim's personal life is also heating up. She's currently dating Myles Garrett, the two-time Defensive Player of the Year who was traded from the Cleveland Browns to the Los Angeles Rams this offseason. Since Kim grew up on the West Coast, fans can likely expect to spot her cheering from the stands at Rams games this fall.
“Her being from here and us being in the same city is obviously something that I love and appreciate,” Garrett told reporters. The Rams are set to kick off their season in Australia against the San Francisco 49ers, which could make for a glamorous debut.
