The pressure is mounting in New Orleans. After a brutal 1-4 start, Saints owner Gayle Benson made her feelings crystal clear — not just with words, but with a surprise visit to Friday's practice.

Benson showed up to observe the team's final preparations before Sunday's matchup against the Giants, a move that speaks louder than any press release. It's a direct signal that she's watching closely and expects immediate improvement from head coach Kellen Moore and his staff.

Amy Trask Faces Threats Over Purdy Take: 'It's Okay to Make a Mistake'
Amy Trask says she's faced threats over her old Brock Purdy take, acknowledging her error while urging fans to cool it.

The owner's frustration had already been public. At the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club Luncheon earlier this week, Benson didn't mince words, calling out Moore and general manager Mickey Loomis by name.

"As the owner, the responsibility does start with me," Benson said, via Rod Walker of NOLA.com. "I will not make excuses and I will not accept this level of performance as our standard. I am committed to making the decisions necessary to improving this team. Everyone on this organization understands the urgency. We must prepare better, execute consistently and correct mistakes that are costing us the games."

She went further, laying out the chain of accountability: "Kellen Moore and his coaches are responsible for preparing our players to perform. Mickey Loomis and our football staff are responsible for building a roster capable of sustained success. Our players are responsible for their preparation and execution. I am responsible for holding this organization accountable."

Moore, when asked about Benson's presence at practice, tried to keep things positive. "We talked throughout the week, and so we're all good," he said. "We're all just trying to reach the same goal. We all wanna win football games."

But the optics are hard to ignore. This is a coach whose first season ended with a 6-11 record, though a strong finish bought him some goodwill. Now, with the team spiraling — a blown lead against the Raiders, a lopsided loss to the Falcons, and being outcoached by the Vikings — that goodwill is evaporating fast.

The Saints' schedule doesn't get any easier, with a trip to Paris for a Week 7 game against the Steelers looming. If they stumble to 1-5, Moore's seat will be scorching. As Benson's recent warning to Moore suggests, patience is wearing thin. Fans are already turning, with growing calls for change echoing across social media.

Sunday's game against the Giants is more than just another matchup — it's a referendum on Moore's future. A win could stabilize the ship, but another loss might make that Paris trip a one-way ticket out of town.
