The Los Angeles Dodgers faced a must-win situation in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series, but all eyes—and not in a good way—were on a couple sitting directly behind home plate at Dodger Stadium.
While the Milwaukee Brewers stormed back from an early deficit to take a commanding 6-2 victory and move one win away from the World Series, the internet couldn't stop talking about the two fans who seemed far more interested in each other than the game unfolding in front of them.
From the first pitch, the pair engaged in a marathon of PDA—kissing, cuddling, and even feeding each other snacks—all while the home team fought for its postseason life. Fans watching on TV and social media were not amused.
“It’s the NLCS and these two are just making out. What are you doing at a game like this????” one frustrated fan posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The distractions didn't stop there. As the game wore on, the couple's antics continued, drawing more scorn. “Now she’s feeding him food. And they kissed again. Ruining the game,” another fan added. A third chimed in: “He can’t even wave his rally towel. But he can make out during the game. Should be banned from all sporting events moving forward.”
The viral moment even sparked a few jokes. One fan quipped, “Is that Justin Herbert and Madison Beer?” while another referenced the classic baseball romantic comedy: “How can you not be romantic about baseball?”
Not everyone was upset, though. One sarcastic fan wrote, “This couple was entertaining all game … added to the awesome evening!!”
Meanwhile, the Dodgers find themselves on the brink of elimination, needing to channel the spirit of the 2004 Boston Red Sox, who famously rallied from a 3-0 deficit to win the ALCS. Los Angeles will look to start that improbable comeback in Game 4, but they'll have to do it without the distraction of the kissing couple.
