After the Patriots stumbled out of the gate with a 13-10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday night, Agar took to X (formerly Twitter) to pour a little salt in the wound. With a coffee in hand and a smirk virtually audible, she wrote: "drinking my coffee, watching patriots fans crash out over week 1 like there's not a chance i'm about to do the exact same thing come monday morning. 😂😂"
It's classic Agar—self-aware, cheeky, and perfectly timed. The internet personality, who's co-hosting a podcast with Bengals star Ja'Marr Chase this season, knows a thing or two about fan overreactions. But she's also not about to let a golden opportunity slip by, especially when the Patriots' quarterback situation is serving up prime material.
The loss was a rough one for third-year quarterback Drake Maye, who tossed three interceptions against the Super Bowl 60 champions. Maye didn't mince words after the game: "I lost patience, and it cost us. Decisions that cost us the game on my part…you can't have those, it's unacceptable. I gotta get back to work, because that wasn't how I play football."
Head coach Mike Vrabel echoed that frustration, emphasizing the need for smarter decisions. "If it's there, obviously we want to try to be aggressive," Vrabel said. "But if not, we're not losing any yards. And certainly don't want to give them a chance to make a play. So, that was the conversation that went in."
Vrabel added that the passing game relies on timing and protection, and when those break down, the right move is to throw it away. "Drake will learn from it. We'll all learn from it. And, hopefully, we'll be better for it in the end."
While Patriots fans may be spiraling, Agar is clearly enjoying the show. Her jab comes amid a broader trend of influencers stirring the pot in sports—from sideline bans to fan frustration at major events. But for now, it's all about the NFL's Week 1 chaos.
